Prenatal Fitness

Maintaining a healthy body during pregnancy is very important.  Labor is often said to be like running a marathon or taking a 50 mile hike.  It requires strength and endurance to work through the physical process of giving birth.  Even if you don't have a regular exercise routine now, preparing for birth is the perfect reason to start one.  Exercising during pregnancy can help prevent muscle cramps, back pain, swelling, constipation and can promote restful sleep!

Austin offers many great prenatal fitness programs including: prenatal yoga, prenatal swimming classes, mom's walking groups and much more! Some of the instructors of the local classes are listed below and we also have class and meeting dates on the local events calendar.  Please check them out and find a way to get or keep your beautiful pregnant body in shape!
